Speaker: David Krujiver, Digital Solutions Lead at TasNetworks
In maintaining the electricity distribution network in Tasmania, TasNetworks is required to continually deliver a steady stream of maintenance and construction works. The workstream however was subjected to continual blockages and rework emanating from poor data, process and prioritisation practices. In 2024, a new ‘One way workflow’ was implemented, including the development of a “Works Management Standard” which clearly describes the process and data outcomes expected of various types of work.
As part of the revised process a number of SAP automation and configuration changes were made and significant retraining and coaching of works staff to align with the data and process continues to occur. Whilst evidence of data adherence is easily reported, and is trending in the right direction, there was no clear way to measure the process.
TasNetworks has implemented SAP Signavio to monitor the notification and work order process adherence and to accurately measure the benefits arising from the One Way Works Flow.

Speaker: Graham Johnston, Work Management/EAM Consultant, Assets & Corporate Technology, AGL Energy
SAP has come a long way since the days of R/3 3.1h. We’ve seen massive platform upgrades, a shift to S/4HANA, and a big push toward data-driven decision making. But if you ask many Tradespeople or Operational staff using SAP every day, they’ll tell you the experience hasn’t changed much.
Sure, we’re capturing more data, building slicker dashboards, and talking about transformation. But what does that mean for the person on the ground just trying to raise a Notification or close out a job?
In this session, we’ll take a walk through the past 25 years of SAP from the perspective of an End User. We’ll explore how expectations have changed - and how they haven’t - when it comes to basic tasks like finding work orders, entering time, or navigating complex master data.
You’ll hear how AGL has used Fiori to make things easier for field teams, and we’ll open the floor to hear your ideas and pain points too. It’s interactive, it’s honest, and it’s about time we talked about what transformation really looks like for End Users.

In this session, you’ll discover how Richemont successfully onboarded 700 direct materials, reduced its supplier confirmation cycle time from 17 days to just 5, and cut warehouse receiving workloads by 50%.
Learn how Richemont optimised collaboration with suppliers and contract manufacturers while streamlining and harmonising supply chain processes across its 27 luxury brands, including Cartier, Chloé, and IWC. This transformation goes beyond procurement, showcasing a comprehensive approach to supply chain efficiency and resilience.
Key Takeaways:
Speaker: Karla Palma, Senior Asset Integrity and Reliability Analyst at Precision Drilling
In an era where operational efficiency drives competitive advantage, Precision Drilling embarked on a transformative journey to optimise its asset management strategy, beginning with the implementation of SAP S/4HANA in 2018. This foundational shift enabled enterprise-wide integration, laying the groundwork for data-driven decision-making and operational excellence. As a result, we evolved from mere data collection to actionable intelligence, reshaping our approach to asset maintenance and lifecycle management.
Challenges and Solutions:
Challenge: Lack of Master Data Governance
Solution: We established robust master data governance processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all asset management functions.
Challenge: Reactive Maintenance Approach Leading to Downtime and Inefficiencies
Solution: Leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), we implemented exception-based reporting, enabling real-time insights and informed decision-making. This improved maintenance, enhanced asset reliability, and facilitated a smooth transition from Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) to Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
Challenge: Poor Data Collection and System Disconnection (Maintenance & Inventory)
Solution: We introduced a mobile maintenance app and an interactive parts catalog, streamlining workflows, enhancing data accuracy, and integrating key systems for better operational performance.
Key Takeaways:
Speaker: Drew Troyer, Industry Expert
Unplanned failures, reactive maintenance, and inconsistent work execution continue to drain resources and jeopardise asset reliability. The root cause? A lack of standardised, high-quality maintenance job plans. This session shows how moving from ad hoc practices to precision-driven standard work can transform maintenance outcomes - boosting safety, asset life, workforce efficiency, and data quality.
Using a proven framework grounded in real-world results, we’ll explore how to build, sustain, and scale standardised maintenance plans that embed critical details - tools, materials, skills, time, and FLAB (Fastening, Lubrication, Alignment, Balance) - into every task. You’ll also learn how to integrate these practices into your SAP EAM environment for continuous improvement at scale.
Whether you're just starting your standardisation journey or ready to optimise at enterprise level, this session equips planners, schedulers, engineers, supervisors, and reliability leaders with the tools to take control of maintenance execution.
Key Takeaways:
Speaker: Devang Shah, Manager SAP Applications, Synergy WA
In preparation for a successful S/4HANA migration, Synergy took a proactive approach to managing their SAP HANA database, saving millions in licensing costs annually by leveraging Data Volume Management (DVM) - one of the most underused features in the SAP standard license. By reducing their SAP HANA database size by 7.5 TB, and deleting 8.6 billion records, Synergy not only optimised their system’s performance but also significantly minimized ongoing licensing fees.
For organisations still on ECC or in the process of migrating to S/4HANA, this session highlights Data Volume Management (DVM) as a crucial step to streamline data, reduce costs, and prepare your system for a smoother transition to S/4HANA. This tool, included with your SAP license, can help you manage database growth, securely archive and delete data, and minimize the size of your HANA database—all critical steps for optimizing your environment ahead of migration.
Join us to learn how you can leverage DVM to unlock similar savings and efficiency, even before fully transitioning to S/4HANA.

Speaker: Anthony Cook, Asset Management Strategist, Enerven
I had a realisation: the skills and knowledge around how to use SAP vary greatly across our business. At times, it feels like we’re operating in completely different worlds. To address this, I kicked off the SAP Applications Project—an initiative aimed at identifying these differences and finding a better way forward.
This session will be a scaled-down, interactive version of that project. Bring your phones—we’ll be asking questions, collecting responses in real time, and discussing the answers together. I’ll be your facilitator on this journey, so be ready to get involved!
As a group, we’ll compare our collective insights, highlight key challenges, and build a set of recommendations based on the experience and knowledge in the room. We’ll also explore how emerging SAP technologies like Joule could help address common pain points and improve consistency.
